Fiery, festive, and full of character — this Kanchivaram pure silk saree is an ode to bold traditional colour. The deep wine purple body is woven in a large gold zari check with gold and silver dual tone peacock buttas placed in each square, bringing a regal motif rarely seen in check-body sarees. Unlike the clean geometric herringbone check of the previous piece, the peacock buttas add a storytelling layer to every square. The wide burnt orange pallu is the real showstopper — densely covered in an intricate all-over gold zari diamond grid with large circular sun medallion motifs and layered chevron bands, finishing with a bold medallion border edge. The pallu's sheer zari density makes it heavier and more opulent than anything else in this series. Handwoven using the korvai technique in Kanchipuram, this saree commands the room.
