From the ancient fort town of Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh comes a fabric that has dressed royalty for over six centuries  sheer, luminous, and unmistakably refined.

Chanderi silk is woven from a combination of silk and cotton, giving it a translucency and lightness that sets it apart from heavier silks. The characteristic sheen — soft rather than flashy  comes from the silk warp catching light through the open weave. Motifs are woven in as extra-weft floats: coin (ashrafi), floral, and geometric patterns scattered across the body, with a zari border that frames the fabric without overpowering it.

Pure silk Chanderi takes this further a finer, more lustrous version woven entirely in silk, with a drape that feels effortless from the first wear.
